Terms and Conditions
1. Fees
All course fees are due in full at the time of booking
2. Cancellation by you.
If you cancel a booking with MountainsPlus and give us 28 days notice or more, we will refund your course/activity payment in full less an administration fee of £15. If the cancellation notice is 14 days or more, we will refund 50% of your course or activity payment. Where notice is 14 days or less, we are unable to refund any of the fees.
3. Cancellation by MountainsPlus
Courses are planned for a minimum of 2 persons. If the minimum requirement of 2 persons booking is not met for the date you have chosen, then you will be offered an alternative group course date, or a full refund, or 1 days individual tuition if on a 2 day course or 2 full days individual tuition if on a 5 day course. Should this situation arise we will contact you at least 5 days before your planned course date to discuss your preference. MountainsPlus is not responsible for any contingent costs and its liability is limited to the price paid.
4. Activity Risk
All courses and activities supplied by MountainsPlus take place in mountainous terrain, which is by its very nature, potentially dangerous, and may incur the risk of death or serious injury. By booking a course in these activities you are aware of and accept these risks and will be responsible for your own actions and involvement.
5. Insurance
MountainsPlus carries full public liability insurance, but we recommend you take out appropriate personal accident and cancellation insurance for your activity/course. If you already have insurance, please check it covers you for the activities you will be undertaking with MountainsPlus.
6. Health, Fitness and Medical
You must have a level of fitness appropriate to the course or activity which you are booking. You must inform us at the time of booking, or as soon as the case arises of any medical or non-medical conditions that might affect your or any other participant's safety and enjoyment. If you do not declare medical conditions form relevant to the course or activity being undertaken, we reserve the right to refuse your participation in the activity.
7. Weather
All courses and activities take place in the mountain environment where the effect of the weather can be particularly severe, even during the summer. The weather can limit what we are able to do, and client safety is our first consideration. There may be occasions where we are unable to complete a planned course or activity due to the prevailing weather.
8. Clothing and Equipment
You must be properly equipped for the course or activity which you have booked. We will send you a list of clothing and other equipment required. Any client who is not so equipped may be excluded from the course or activity without refund of the fees paid.
9. Children
Children (persons under 18) may only take part in activities with MountainsPlus, when accompanied by their parent or legal guardian.
10. Instructors
MountainsPlus reserve the right to use any suitably qualified person to instruct on courses and activities. As a minimum such individuals will have a Mountain Leader qualification, but will most likely be International Mountain Leaders, Mountaineering Instructors or Mountain Guides.
